Welcome to Morocco! Upon your arrival at Marrakech airport (RAK), a member of our team will be there to greet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your accommodation. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours.
You will have free time to get your first taste of the “Red City.” We recommend heading to the famous Jemaa el-Fna square as evening approaches to see it come alive with storytellers, musicians, and incredible street food stalls.

Our adventure begins! We will pick you up from your accommodation and start our journey towards the desert. We immediately begin to climb into the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the spectacular Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. The views are incredible, and we will make plenty of stops for photos.
Our main stop is the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-protected village that has been the backdrop for countless movies.
After a guided tour and lunch near Ouarzazate, we continue our drive through the beautiful Valley of Roses, arriving in the Dades Gorge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Approximate Driving Time: 4.4 Hours
After breakfast, we continue our journey east. We will drive through the stunning landscapes of the Dades Valley before arriving at the immense Todra Gorge. You will have time to walk along the river at the base of the towering canyon walls. From there, we travel through more desert landscapes until we reach the edge of the Sahara in Merzouga.
Here, the real desert adventure begins. You will meet your camels and begin your trek into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. You will ride for about an hour and a half, stopping at a high dune to watch a truly unforgettable sunset.
As the stars begin to appear, we will arrive at our desert camp, where a traditional dinner and an evening of Berber music around a campfire await.
Today is for immersing yourself in the desert. You will wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, you will have a full day to explore the Merzouga desert region.
Activities for the day can include visiting local Berber villages to see how people live at the edge of the sand, exploring the unique desert landscapes in a 4×4, and even meeting nomadic families to share a glass of mint tea and learn about their timeless way of life.
You will have time to relax in the dunes before dinner and a second night in Merzouga.

Our final day is a long but scenic journey back to Marrakech. We will have an early departure from Merzouga, traveling back through the vast pre-desert plains and the Atlas Mountains. We will make several stops along the way for photos and rest, including a lunch break.
We expect to arrive back in Marrakech in the late afternoon or early evening, where your unforgettable Sahara desert student tour comes to an end.

The key is layers! Pack lightweight clothes, a warm jacket for cold desert nights, comfortable walking shoes, a scarf, and strong sun protection.
A 3 or 4-day desert tour is the perfect, high-impact adventure. If you have more time, a 7-day itinerary allows you to see the best of the country, from the north to the south.
