Your grand Moroccan journey begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. We immediately start our scenic drive into the High Atlas Mountains, making stops for photos as we ascend the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka pass.

Our main stop for the day is the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your guide will provide a full guided visit of this incredible fortified village before we enjoy a lunch stop nearby.

Afterwards, we will pass through Ouarzazate, learning about its rich film history, and continue our drive through the beautiful Roses Valley to your hotel in Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)

After breakfast, we head east towards the Sahara. Our first stop is the lush Tinghir oasis and its stunning palm groves, followed by a visit to the towering Todra Gorge. You will have time to walk inside the canyon along the river before we enjoy lunch in the Tinghir area.

Continuing on, we pass through Erfoud, the gateway to the desert, arriving in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Here, you will begin your iconic camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset over the Sahara.

You will then proceed to your luxury desert camp for a memorable night of Berber music, a campfire, and incredible stargazing.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert Exploration

A Sahara sunrise welcomes you this morning. After breakfast, today is dedicated to a deep cultural immersion into the life of the desert. We will journey behind the dunes to visit nomad settlements, where you will be welcomed to share tea and learn about their timeless way of life.

Next, we visit Khamlia village to experience a captivating live Gnawa music performance. Depending on the season, we may also visit the Merzouga seasonal lake.

After lunch in Merzouga center, you will have time for a short walk around the village of Hassi Labied before settling into your hotel at the dune line for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4: Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Midelt → Ifrane → Fes

Our journey north begins after breakfast. We will make a panoramic stop overlooking the vast Ziz Valley as we head towards the mountains. Our route takes us through the Atlas town of Midelt for lunch.

In the afternoon, we ascend into the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop at the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the native wild Barbary apes.

Our final stop is in Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” where you can explore the town and see its famous stone lion monument. We will then arrive in the ancient city of Fes for your overnight stay.

Day 5: Exploring the Ancient City of Fes

Today is dedicated to discovering the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco.

After breakfast, you will meet your local city guide for a 3-4 hour guided tour of the Fes Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will explore its labyrinthine souks, artisan quarters, historic madrasas, and learn about the deep history and traditions of this incredible Imperial city.

The rest of the afternoon and evening is free for you to relax and continue exploring at your own pace.
